Happy Easter everyone! The weather here in North Carolina is perfect for a wonderful Easter weekend. I think the high temperature today is going to be around 80. My granddaughter is coming this evening, and I'm so excited. We're going to dye some Easter eggs and then hunt them in the yard. I'll of course have my camera ready. What fun, and what memories! Isn't that what scrapbooking is all about? We're taking memories and putting them on paper.

Today, I'm excited to let you know of a wonderful blog belonging to Debbie. I've admired Debbie's work for quite some time. In fact, she indicated not long ago that I was part of the reason she started a blog. I told her that I thought she should have one, since her work is so wonderful! Got Ink? Well if you have not gotten your hands on the new 12 Distress Inks by Tim Holtz and Ranger - you better run out right now and get some. I am in love with the distress inks - they are so versatile. I can stamp with them, age my cardstock, and distress my tags. Love it. Here is a link to Tim Holtz video where he gives you a mini tutorial on how to use the distress inks.

Happy Saturday, fellow crafters. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and you get a little time to sneak into your scrapbook room, or corner, or dining table as the case may be, and do what we all love to do -- make layouts, cards, or other crafting projects. This morning I'm doing a little work from home for my real job, but later, I hope to work on a scrapbook page from our trip to Florida last year. I'm excited about it. I haven't made a scrapbook page in over a month. I have done a few cards and an album for eBay, but I'm ready to try to do a page again!

To inspire me, and you, I've found another awesome blog, with lots of tutorials, or links to tutorials, and lots of beautiful pages. The blog entitled "Scraps of my Life" is the creation of Bonnie. Well now that Valentine's Day and our PFOP Music Lyric Challenge is over we are getting ready for Spring. PFOP will be having a new challenge in March - more on that later.

So I was looking around for more paper, because after all you can't have too much paper .... and I came across Scrap Within Reach. Heidi over at Scrap Within Reach has two new lines that she debuted at Winter CHA. Below is Urban Garden. I really loved the colors of this line and my imagination is buzzing with ideas.

February Challenge Love Me Tender

This two page 12x12 Premade layout is inspired by Elvis Presley's "Love Me Tender, Love Me Dear".

I have always been an Elvis fan and love his songs and his voice. So this is my interpretation of this beautiful melody - love packed with reds, pinks, bling, flowers and hearts.

Perfect layout for your Valentine Memories or Memories of the One that You Love and loves you tenderly. The flowers are hand cut, distressed, inked and layered.

The felt hearts are hand cut then sewn together with special sparkley beads. All mattes are sewn along with the background paper. Lots of extra sweets are added to make this a very luscious and special layout.

Sorry I flaked out on everyone last week. I hope someone missed me! LOL. We were out of town visiting family in Virginia. We did not get to visit them at Christmas because of weather and several members of my family being sick, so it was great to have Christmas in January.

I hope everyone who visits our blog will have a healthy, happy and prosperous 2010. And I know you're thinking the same thing as me, where did 2009 go??? It seems that it was only here a month or so! HA! That old saying really is true -- the older you get, the faster time seems to fly.

Happy Holidays everyone!! Hope you are all done with your shopping :) because trust me it is hectic out there in the malls. I am done except for some baking - whoo hoo!! I plan on relaxing the next couple of days. Well this week I am featuring ............ me! I was planning on featuring my blog at the end, but... I have some BLOG CANDY GIVE AWAY on my blog this week, so I thought it would be a good time to feature kitsnbits - so be sure to leave a comment and win some love.

Now a little about me, I have been scrapbooking over 10 years and started selling on ebay about 2 years ago. I think I opened an account before then but never did anything. I am a slow learner :) anywho the ladies on PFOP asked me to join their design team and of course I was THRILLED. Everyone at PFOP is so nice and they are all very talented.

There are some great project up for auction right now so be sure to check us out PFOP . I have a couple of Christmas two page layouts out for bid this week. Here is one of them - I called it Dear Santa.

Christmas is upon us. I hope all of you are enjoying your pre-holiday festivities. After my granddaughter came to visit a couple of weeks ago and walked through the door saying, "Mimi, you need to decorate for Christmas," I decided that I needed to get busy. It's pretty bad when a 4 year old has to remind you to decorate! She was my inspiration!

And today I'm here with lots of scrapbooking inspiration. I found this awesome sketch site today entitled "52 Sketches 52 Weeks." I love it! Not only are there great sketches every week, but great inspiration from very talented scrapbookers!

It's that time of year when we really should reflect on the things we are thankful for. If you could make a list of the things you are most thankful for, what would be on that list? I'd have to say that I'm thankful for Jesus Christ (sorry if that is offensive to anyone, but it is who I am), my family, my friends, my home, my job (these days, that is a big thing to be thankful for), and I would add that I am thankful for the hobby I've found. Scrapbooking has enriched my life so much. I enjoy the pages I make for my family scrapbook albums, the cards I make for friends and family, all of the many things I've made for eBay, and last but not least, I am very thankful for the Pocket Full of Papers team. This was my first year with this team, and I have to say I've enjoyed it thoroughly. These gals truly are talented, encouraging, and fun! What blessings I have!

And now onto the real reason for this post (sorry -- I can get carried away when talking about blessings)! Today, I want to introduce you to Helen Croft's blog, entitled "Scrap a Little." I found Helen's work a couple of years ago on http://www.scrapbook.com/. I loved her style. She has such a clean style, and her pages are so well done! She is extremely talented. Her blog has some awesome tutorials for flowers, great sketches, and I know you will be as inspired by her work as I have been.

We at PFOP are getting very excited. We will be having a team challenge where each member will list an album between Oct. 4 and 10th and give a percentage of the winning bid for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Susan G. Komen foundation. Please join us for that week and bid generously and help us fight for the cure.

Here are a couple of sneak peaks of what we have up our sleeve for the auctions on ebay. We will post more sneekie peekies as we finish our projects so be sure to check us out by searching PFOP on ebay.

Tuesdays Tips

Today's Scrapbooking Tip involves corner rounders.

I use mine often for mats, photos and the edges of some of my chipboard albums.
They are also useful for making quick and easy tabs.

I use whatever scraps I have, cut them 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" and fold them in half. Use the corner rounder to cut the two ends of the FOLDED piece and voila, you have a matching tab.

Inspiration Alley

Hope everyone's autumn has started off with great weather and lots of scrapping time. I love the beauty that the season shows us. I saw a quote and thought I'd share it with you: "Autumn is a second spring when every flower is a leaf." (author unknown) Pretty sweet, isn't it!?!

Anyway, for this week's inspiration alley, I've chosen the blog of a lady who does awesome work, and she does lots of two page layouts, which really inspire me. I still do quite a few two page layouts for my family albums because I take so many photos! And of course I do two page layouts for eBay too. Heather's layouts, both one and two pagers (and her cards), are always creative and beautiful. I'm sure you'll be inspired when you visit her blog:
