With the economy being what it is, the blog "Lifehacker" recently raised the question: Are you cutting back on your holiday gift buying this year in favor of more DIY style gift giving like baked goods and home made gifts?
The Associated Press reports that consumer spending has fallen to its lowest point in nearly 30 years. How will that affect your holiday purchases and gift-giving plans? What do YOU think? Is it time to try out your own crafty skills?
Share your thoughts with us and you'll be entered in a drawing for a blog RAK at the end of the month.

I'll be doing a TON of DIY stuff this holiday season but it's simply because I LOVE to do it, not because of the economy. I've been happily making decorations, ornaments, and gifts for months already.
I am definately making most of my gifts this year. Thankfully that is in my nature and abilities so it will be a breeze.
I do mostly DIY every year. I love to do it and it's got nothing to do with the economy. I may be using more 'leftover supplies' from last year this year than I usually do - but that's a good thing because I am running out of storage!
Definately going the make it yourself, DIY route, but I always have. It just means so much more to give something I've spent time and energy on, rather than to buying anyway.
